Frank Hale - Music Director

A graduate of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, Mr. Hale has over fifty-five years of directing bands both academically and professionally, having earned a reputation for excellence in directorship nationally and internationally.

Mr. Hale has toured musical groups in over 30 countries, has been Director of European Operations for World Projects International Music Productions for a decade, developed several International Music Events including the London International Band Festival, Carnegie Hall International Band Festival and Budapest International Orchestra Festival. Additionally he served on the production team for the opening ceremonies of the Sydney 2000 Summer Olympics.

A trombonist, he joined Jericho Brass (JBB) in 1998, and later that year also became the assistant conductor, then head conductor in 2008. His work as the JBB director has been cited by the press as offering music that is “brilliantly vibrant, elegant, with sonorous and bright tones over a wide range of sounds.”





Jerry Pollard - Assistant Music Director

Jerry Pollard is a business owner and the Eb Soprano Cornetist for the band. He holds a BA degree in Music Education from Jacksonville State University and studied for his BA in trumpet performance at the University of West Georgia, and Conducting.

He has performed with the Rome Symphony Orchestra as principal and second trumpet, the NW Georgia Brass Band, the Rome Clocktower Jazz Big Band and was the founder of both the Class Brass Quintet and Roman Festival Brass. He is also currently the Eb Soprano soloist with the Eighth Regiment Band.

Mr. Pollard has competed in five North America Brass Band Association (NABBA) contests; four as a member of the Georgia Brass Band, and one as the director of the Roman Festival Brass Band.
